Lazarus
Lazarus is a short film about a father's undying love for his son. Faced with the end of the world and the loss of the only person in his life whom he cares for, a despairing father resurrects his son through a twisted melding of flesh and metal, only to discover that his son is not alone in his thoughts.
Lazarus is a short film I created with a fantastic cast and crew. I wrote, produced, directed, financed, and edited the short film as the final portfolio piece of my undergraduate film production degree. A great deal of research, planning, and perseverance went into making it, and I am still proud of how it came together.
Through making the film, I learned so much about the complexities of running a film set, including hiring and working with actors, adapting to unexpected obstacles, and uniting a team towards a singular artistic vision.
